Swizzle Wins 2007 "Best in Show" at
"National Dog Show Presented by Purina®"

PHILADELPHIA, PA – November 17, 2007 – Swizzle, a Australian Shepherd from Stafford, CT, won "Best in Show" at the prestigious "The National Dog Show Presented by Purina®," hosted by the Kennel Club of Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Swizzle, (registered name Ch. Buff Cap Crosland Arctionist) is a four year old female Australian Shepherd, who advanced to Best In Show from the Herding Group. She is owned by Nancy Gagnon from Stafford, CT. Swizzle has won over a dozen "First in Group" titles in the past, but the National Dog Show championship is her first Best in Show. Swizzle was handled by Jessica Plourde of Auburn, MA.

Swizzle was featured during "The National Dog Show Presented by Purina®" television broadcast on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, on NBC immediately following the Macy's Parade. Annually, the telecast is seen by a total audience of some 18 million.

Over 150 breeds competed at Philadelphia with a single dog advancing from each of the seven groups (Sporting, Hound, Working, Terrier, Toy, Non-Sporting and Herding) for the ultimate "Best in Show" competition.
