National Diving Dog Tour Winners Announced
Overall Tour Winner Dives More Than 28 Feet and Qualifies for the Purina
Incredible Dog Challenge Finals Oct. 3 and 4
Ketchum, Idaho (October 8, 2008) --
More than 100 dogs in six cities around the country competed in the National Diving Dog Tour
presented by Oust® and Purina® this summer to determine who could make the longest dive from a
dock into a pool. After two months of coast-to-coast competition, Roscoe, a three-year-old Labrador
retriever from Wisconsin who landed a 28-foot 3-inch dive, was named overall winner of the Tour.
Roscoe, owned by Brian Lilly of Waukesha, Wis., was one of 18 dogs competing at the Wisconsin
State Fair held Aug. 8-10 in West Allis. Callie, a black Lab owned by Ben Propson from
Kewaskum, Wis., was the second place overall winner with a dive of 28 feet 1 inch.
Roscoe’s first place win qualified him to participate in the Purina® Incredible Dog Challenge®
Finals on Oct. 3 and 4 in Gray Summit, Mo. However, Roscoe’s owner is unable to attend the
competition, so Propson and Callie will represent the tour at the finals. The national, invitation-only
Purina Incredible Dog Challenge is the premier canine athletic event in the U.S
